Apartments Itself Nice But Too Many Problems

The apartments are very nice. But in the 3 months i have been here there has been nothin but hell. first i had a plumbing issue that made my water/sewer bill like 400 for just me. took forever for the issue to get resloved over a month and a half for them to send a me a rebate check. had to pay the bill out of pocket though. Then no heat in feb. then no hot water one weekend. then no air for a whole week. This was all in less than a 3 month period. I ask for some kind of refund and they said no. I even contacted the corporate office and they said no also. they told me the only thing they could do is waive me fees if i moved to another equity residential property. I even threatened them with moving and telling of this bad experience and they did nothing so now im telling.

Has It’s Up’s And Downs.

Well now that my time at Cape house is coming to a close I decided to write a review in hopes of giving another family some info if they r considering the complex for their future residence. First off, I have to say my experience hasn’t been too bad. Apartment living has it’s up’s and it’s downs as it is. We have been here temporarily (7 months). But within that time I’d say our neighbors have been some of the best. Half the time I wondered if we even had neighbors. On our first night here my children and I were locked out of our apt, due to a faulty lock, so our neighbor invited us in and allowed us to use his phone and much needed heat. Management has been good to us, reimbursing us for the lock and working some kinks out. Now for the not so great. My biggest complaint would have to be the pool on the older side (northern side) of the complex. Every weekend you’d think you were attending spring break n Cancun. A lot of kids get together and blast their music for all to hear, they drink, and use profanity. Now I’m not a saint, but there r children around. The younger crowd here doesn’t care if there are children present. We’ve even witnessed some of them “playing” with each other in the pool during daylight hours! (“playing” used metaphorically) The pool behind the office is a much better one to use for families. Occasionally, if u live close to the pool, u will hear kids screaming and jumping in at 3am and also in January. Guess they enjoy hypothermia. I’ve also noticed the lakes r dirty. People do not pick up their dogs poop, which says a lot about the lazy tenants, not management. The “gated community” hasn’t been gated in over a month, but I won’t complain since the gate only works 50% of the time. (YES u can and will be locked in if that gate tries to operate again! Leaving tenants to use the exit as both an exit and entrance or vice versa) Mine as well keep it open. Any who, my apt is gorgeous. Love the space the kitchen provides. Gives me lots of room. The few upgrades have been nice plus’s. The school, Chet’s Creek, is just a short path walk away, which is great for us mom’s. You can skip the long line of cars waiting for pick up or drop off. The location is key too. Southside seems to be a far better area of town. I’d say living here overall has been a pleasant experience. I would just recommend renting closest to the office.

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT rent here. Drug dealers and ghetto scary dudes galore, and drunk obnoxious students that dont have jobs so get into shouting matches in the parking lot at 3 in the morning on weeknights. Often. Stay FAR FAR away if you are a professional, it looks nice and I do like the actual apartment, but it is A NIGHTMARE!

I have lived in a few apartments in Jacksonville and I must say when it comes to getting maintenance done in this apartment, be prepared to wait and have to call several times. Their favorite reply when you have to put in 4 request to get things fixed is that they don’t have enough staff. Not my problem, I pay rent, I need things fixed. Within the first month of living here, my dishwasher broke and the A/C broke. It took 2 months for them to replace the dishwasher, after I called a few times and then they “forgot” to do it so I had to call again. They call my apartment upgraded not sure what they are comparing it to, because mostly all the appliances are really old. The dryer from the neighbor’s apartment vents into my pantry, I have tryed to get them to do something about it but apparently it’s not important enough that someone elses germs are venting into my pantry and apartment.

There is dog waste everywhere including next to the mailboxes and on the sidewalks. If you want to use the gym some of the equipment is in such disrepair that it not safe to use. Oh and speaking of the Gym, I pay to use the gym yet they have changed the locks but don’t have enough keys to give everyone so I can’t use the gym I pay for. Also, there are so many kids using it as a playground that I don’t even like to go in there, even if I could get a key.

I thought this place was okay, but the longer I am here the less satisfied I am. If I could get them to fix certain things it would be better, but at this point I am just leaving as soon as my lease is up.

Looks Can Be Deceiving!

Firstly, I have lived here for almost 5 years in two different apartments within the complex.

The complex generally looks nice, but that is never really the issue. There are continued problems with break-ins. The staff is very apathetic towards you in that situation, they just say that they will fix your kicked in door, but that’s it, no other help.

The issue here is the staff and the parent company Aimco. The initial staff that is very friendly and helpful, but it is a different set of people that you deal with once you actually sign your lease. They tend to be very short and rude with you all the time. Some are worse than others, but I will refrain from using any names.

The parent company continues to make changes without doing appropriate research into this particular community. For example, I have never had any issues with parking, even after they removed many parking spaces to add garages. Now out of the blue they decided to issue parking passes, that you must pay $5 a month for. They claim this is to alleviate the parking issues. Problem is, they did not plan this out. They gave each apartment a hang tag for one guest, but what happens if you have more than one guest and can’t get a temporary pass because the office is closed’ I don’t know, and neither does anyone in the office. I had four serious questions about the new parking policies, and they could only answer one of them. This entire parking permit policy is simply a way to squeeze a few more dollars out of it’s residents. For $15 a month you can even reserve a space in front of your apartment. Isn’t it great to have to pay for parking where you live’

Recently I had a nasty notice (that wasn’t fully filled out) hung on my door stating that I had not paid my rent and would be evicted in 3 days. Funny how they cashed my check on the 2nd of the month. I had to go out of my way to print copies of check images from my bank and then go up to the office and prove it. When I told them what happened, they checked the computer and said “It’s shows you haven’t paid”. That’s when I put my check images on the desk and pointed out their stamp and the date. They just said”..uuummmmmmm… let me make a call”. Not quite knowing what to do. After the call, they said it was all taken care of. We’ll see. They couldn’t print anything to prove that it was settled. Never trust anything said to you, get everything in writing!

There is a laundry list of issues with this complex, but since I’m not getting paid to write a novel, I’ll end it here. Bottom line, this place looks like a nice place to live, but looks can be deceiving. As soon as my lease is up, I’m gone and never coming back!

CASA Stella – DO NOT MOVE THERE!!!

I have lived in Casa Stella for over a year now and its the worst place I have ever lived!!!! There is a constant pest problem that they keep “spraying” for and it only gets worse and not better. The plumbing is horrible. It backs up constantly and leaves a raw sewage smell in your house. The walls are paper thin. You can basically hear every breath your neighbor takes so imagine what else you can hear. The morons in resident relations are useless. Half the time they dont answer the phone and when they do they cant help you… Dont even bother to contact the general manager Jere ..he doesnt return phone calls and everytime i have called resident relations he is on vactaion and i just get transferred to his voice mail or the other manager there Sherru who could care less what you need help with. She is soooo very RUDE!!! They nickle and dime you for everything and fix nothing. This complex absolutely suck!!! They lure you in with the size of the apartments and the overall size of the complex but the place is falling apart. For the money they require in rent and fees they could do a lot better by way of customer service.

I have lived in numerous apartments. There has been some really good and terrible experiences with the staff. Here I have ran into one of the best staff, especially Ashely. She has personally done everything possible with our family interest being the main concern. If I was to rate their customer service 1-5 theirs would definitely be a 4.5 but Ashely would get a 5.

I have lived here for almost 6 years. I am only moving because I am building a house. I love the apartment and attached garage. I have never had a problem. It is usually very quiet here. One annoying neighbo who smoked, but other than that – great! The maintenance staff is very prompt as well as the office staff. Thanks, Bay Club, for a great place to live!

I have lived here over a year…. I am a single female and this place is SAFE-I have not had any trouble or heard of any. Any problem I have had with my apartment has been handled quickly. Everyone in the office is nice and will work with you.(I have had my moments when they policed the pool for beer etc on Saturdays but hey thats there rules-be descret:) The garages are awesome-its VERY VERY quiet except for a harley or two and well its just been a peaceful quiet place to live-there are lots of trees and nice neighbors. The pool is not great but hey -it serves its purpose. Ill take a garage over a way awesome pool. Prices are okay at the moment I think-and they are upgrading everythign if you want it. I have pets too and they are very cooperative with me being worried about them escaping- as far as working in the apartment and being careful with the door and all. I work over the buckman and I think ill continue to drive bc I dont think the grass will be greener anywhere else.

I’ve been here for a little more than 6 months. 1 great thing about the community is that it is very safe for women. I’ve not heard of one unfortunate incident during my time here. It is not very well lit at night, but you can still go and deposit your trash. Most tenants are with families and a few bachelors who seem pretty decent. Most minor maintenance work was done promptly.

I lived here from oct 08-april 09. I really loved this place. we moved out because of job change to new jersey. we were in a 1 bedroom apt and I never had any problem of roaches. very good maintenance people. all the appliances including washer dryer worked well for me. once miicrowave oven stopped working. after few follow ups got it replaced. very friendly people in the leasing office. haven’t any unsafe thing about the apartment. but for my some friends who moved out to another apartment in the same community itself were charged because of carpet stains etc. i really loved this place and would go back if had a chance.

I moved in to the Antlers in October 2007 and left 2 years later. In the entire time that I lived there, I didn’t hear of one problem involving crime. The complex is very quite and my neighbors were friendly. There are a lot of Indian families that live here, and they keep to themselves, not bad, not good, just a fact. I probably had a total of 3-4 things that I called maintenance for and they responded almost immediately, even tholugh none were serious problems. Really nice feature is that you can pay your rent and utilities online. My only complaint is that on weekends it was almost impossible to speak to a staff member as there were always people waiting, and usually only 1 staff member working or available. Overall I would highly recommend this complex to anyone, especaially Indian families.

Apartments in Jacksonville Fl: Cheaper rentals as compared to any other City

Apartments  in Jacksonville Fl are not hard to com by. As a popular city situated in the north-eastern part of Florida. This part of Florida is not just well known for its population but is also well known as a financial centre. This is a city is one of the most preferred neighbourhoods since it is buzz with activity at all times. Jacksonville is located in the Duval County and is larger when compared to Miami. This seaside city has developed well over the span of time and has emerged as one of the most populous city.

Jacksonville Fl is also known as one of the cheapest areas in the United States of America. This city has a rich and a wealthy history, the early settlers were the Indians who arrived there 6000 years ago. The Spanish also explored this place in the early 1500s. Over the years Jacksonville has emerged from being a small city to a well established financial centre.

Since this is a popular area not just in terms of work and lower costs of living a lot of people prefer to live in rented apartments in Jacksonville. This arrangement is of help particularly to all those people who work in and around the city limits. Finding homes on rents is quite easy in this part, however lately people have become very strict when it comes to checking the credit and rental history of the people they would be renting their apartment.

Most people prefer to rent an apartment close to their workplace. One can begin their search for an apartment by checking with the neighbouring areas. The internet is one way through which people can find more information on apartments on rent. There are also a number of agencies which advertise and provide information about the apartments on rent. However one should take precautions while making any deals with a third party.

The city of Jacksonville is divided into areas namely Arlington, North Jacksonville, Northwest Jacksonville, Southeast Jacksonville, Southeast Jacksonville, Southwest Jacksonville and Urban core which is more popularly known as Downtown.

One of the most convenient ways to check and find apartments on rent in Jacksonville is by using the internet. The World Wide Web has made things much easier for everyone. One can find all the necessary information regarding the apartments in the various neighbourhoods. The prices of the apartments would vary depending on the neighbourhood and the area. The more posh and sophisticated neighbourhoods would be costly but still one can check for the various price ranges with the apartment brokers.

The online agencies help one to choose not just the apartment of choice but also help in saving fuel and time that would otherwise be wasted in touring around the city to find an apartment. Some of these companies which help in finding apartments also offer virtual tours of the apartments for their customers.

Depending on ones budget and lifestyle one can check for one, two or three bedroom apartments. One must make sure to clear all their doubts regarding the rent and the apartment before moving into the apartment. Also one should discuss in advance about the mode of payment. Rents can be paid monthly, quarterly, half yearly or even annually. Some apartments follow the yearly lease system; the lease can be renewed if the tenant chooses to live in the same place.

It is always recommended that the tenant first checks for the average apartment rent and then checks for the various apartments. This will give the person renting the apartment an idea about the costs involved. Also one should keep in mind to do check the apartment thoroughly for any repairs before moving in to the apartment.

Some landlord’s insist on having tenants with a clear record of timely payments and hence people with a history of broken lease and a bad credit history may find it difficult to find an apartment in a good and a safe neighbourhood. One may find apartments for cheaper prices in not so good neighbourhoods too.
